Smart Growth for the future of Forney
I’m a native Texan who has lived in Forney for almost 19 years. As the daughter of teachers, my own professional background is in education. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Special Education and spent years teaching before becoming a stay-at-home mom to my four wonderful children. I’m running to be re-elected to the City Council because I love Forney and want to help it be the very best it can be—not just for today, but for decades to come.
Forney isn’t perfect—nowhere is—but it’s a great place. We are still a little bit country, but a little bit city. We have excellent schools, reasonable home prices, a safe community, and wonderful people. Now, our recent growth brings change and opportunity.
But change must be handled correctly. That means creating sustainable infrastructure and focusing on smart, strategic growth. It means keeping our streets safe by having fully funded First Responder departments. It also means greater fiscal responsibility and accountability so that improvements can be made without burdening taxpayers.
I love Forney. And I know you do too. Together, I also know that we can help Forney retain the qualities that brought us all here, while also becoming the city is needs to be for the next generation.
