RE-ELECT
Sarah Salgado
for Forney City Council Place 4
Continued Smart Growth for Forney's Future
SARAH SALGADO EARNS ENDORSEMENT
OF FORNEY POLICE OFFICER ASSOCIATION
The Forney Police Officer Association has announced its endorsement of Sarah Salgado for reelection to the Forney City Council. The endorsement follows recent support from current Forney Mayor Jason Roberson and former Mayors Mary Penn and Amanda Lewis.
“The men and women of the Forney Police Officer Association enthusiastically endorse the reelection of Sarah Salgado,” said James Carter, President of the Forney Police Officer Association. “She takes a no-nonsense approach to fighting crime, ensures officers have the resources needed to protect our families, and stands firm against extremists who push to reduce funding for our police department. It’s clear Sarah is the only candidate in this race committed to keeping every part of Forney safe.”
Salgado has made one thing clear during her time on the City Council: public safety is not negotiable. She has consistently advocated for the staffing, equipment, and technology police officers need to protect the community effectively and respond to Forney’s continued growth.
“A safe city is the foundation for strong neighborhoods, thriving businesses, and growing families,” said Salgado. “That’s why I have worked hard to ensure our brave officers have the tools and community backing required to do their jobs safely and successfully.”
One of Salgado’s most significant achievements has been her strong support for the Forney Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD). Her leadership helped secure overwhelming voter approval for the forward-thinking initiative, which funds crime prevention programs, increases officer staffing, and enhances equipment and infrastructure — all without raising overall sales or property tax rates.
“Sarah Salgado’s approach to public safety is proactive, strategic, and deeply rooted in her commitment to Forney families,” said Mayor Jason Roberson. “She listens to residents, works closely with law enforcement leadership, and isn’t afraid to take bold steps to strengthen community protection. At a time when many cities face increasing public safety challenges, Sarah has chosen to lead with clarity and conviction. Her unwavering support for police officers and dedication to sustainable public safety funding make her a powerful advocate for keeping Forney safe today — and for generations to come.”
