The funds from a 0.25% sales tax allocation would be used to invest in policing personnel, technology, equipment, and programs. The establishment of a CCPD would not result in a tax rate increase but involves a reallocation of existing sales tax revenues, which requires voter approval.

Villages at Gateway-resolution to grant consent for creating the Forney Municipal Management District No. 1.  This district, encompassing approx. 150 acres will support the development of the Villages at

Gateway, which will feature HEB, Target, Home Depot, and more. The creation of this district does not impose any additional tax burden on Forney residents, as it will be funded solely by the additional tax revenue generated from the development.

ESD NO. 6 Interlocal Agreement.

The City of Forney provides fire and emergency medical services for Kaufman County Emergency Services District No. 6. Due to growth and more calls outside the city, a new agreement was made. This updated agreement makes the District responsible

for reimbursing the City based on the share of total calls, resulting in about a 50/50 split of costs for the upcoming year.

residents who are either 65 years of age or older or disabled, as allowed under

Section 11.13(d) of the Texas Tax Code. This exemption provides a $65,000

reduction in taxable value for qualifying seniors and a $35,000 reduction for

qualifying disabled persons.

Approved a Resolution revising the Meet and Confer Agreements with both the Forney Police Association and the Forney

Professional Firefighters' Association for Fiscal Year 2026. The Police Agreement includes updates to assignment, bilingual, and education pay, hiring preferences for certified officers, lateral entry opportunities, and a revised pay plan that provides a 7-9% increase across pay grades and a revised

promotional process. The Firefighters' Agreement addresses association business leave, compensation adjustments with an 8% across-the-board increase and

5% between steps, It also includes provisions related to hiring and recruitment, the promotional process and rank structure, sick leave payout, and supplemental pay.
